Transformation of Sentences Rules, Types & Practice for Every Class

Introduction

Transformation of Sentences means changing the form of a sentence without changing its meaning. The words may change, the order may change, but what the sentence tells us must stay exactly the same.

This one grammar topic is taught right from the early primary classes up to Class 12, growing more advanced each year — starting with simple Affirmative ↔ Negative swaps in the junior classes, and building up to Voice change and Direct–Indirect Narration by the senior classes. This post covers all six types in one place, from the easiest to the most advanced, so you can use it at whichever level you need.

You can add a second paragraph here if the summary needs more room, for example a line on the moral or lesson the chapter teaches.
